# What happens when an administrator cancels a booking?

## When an administrator cancels a booking, bookaball gives the administrator control over whether credits used for the booking are returned to the player.

**Cancel the booking**

- Open the relevant booking in the admin panel and start the cancellation action.

**Choose whether to return the credits**

- During the cancellation flow, choose whether the credits should be refunded to the player.
- If you choose to return the credits, the used credits are added back to the player balance.
- If you choose not to return the credits, the player does not receive those credits back.

**When should I return the credits?**

- Return the credits when the player is entitled to keep the value of the cancelled booking.
- Do not return the credits when your cancellation policy or the specific situation means the value should not be credited back.

| **Good to know** The refund of credits is a separate choice in the admin cancellation flow. Cancelling a booking does not mean you always have to return the credits. |
