Managing open and shared matches
Enable social match discovery by using open or shared match
Open Matches:
- Marked in blue on the occupation timeline (always indicated with i.e payment pending 0/4, 2/4, etc.)
- Anyone from the community can discover and join.
- Created by selecting "Open Match" in the booking form.
- Useful for encouraging player interaction or filling under-utilised courts.
Shared Matches:
- Marked in blue on the occupation timeline (always indicated with i.e payment pending 0/4, 2/4, etc.)
- Shared privately between a user and invited participants.
- Can be joined through invite link or in-app notification.
- Visible on the timeline but only joinable by those with access.
Admin Capabilities:
- Admins can convert any normal booking into a shared match.
- Admins can cancel or update invites and control who sees shared options.
Use case: Promote play-through visibility, increase booking rates, and enhance community engagement through open/social court scheduling.
