How to use tags for tax rates

Use tags to connect the correct tax rate to products or revenue categories. The selected tax percentage is then included in the automatic invoicing data.

Create or select the correct tag
  • Use a tag that represents the tax percentage that applies to the product or category.
  • Keep the naming clear so administrators can easily select the correct option.
Apply the tax rate to the right items
  • Assign the relevant tax tag to the product or category that should use that percentage.
  • Different types of sales can therefore use different tax percentages.
Example
  • Padel equipment can use a 9% tax tag when that is the applicable rate for your setup.
  • Food & Beverage can use a 21% tax tag when that is the applicable rate for your setup.
  • The configured percentages are then reflected in the automatic invoices.

Good to know

Always configure tax rates according to the tax treatment that applies to your organisation and products. The tag determines which configured percentage is used in the invoicing flow.
