# How to use gift vouchers and discount codes

## bookaball does not currently have a fully automated gift-voucher flow in which players purchase a voucher themselves and send it to another player. You can still work with gift vouchers by creating discount codes manually.

**Create a manual voucher**

- Create a discount code that represents the value you want to give to the player.
- For example, you can create code “ABCD” with a value of €30 and configure it for one-time use.

**Share the code**

- Share the code with the player who should receive the voucher.
- The player can enter the code when making an eligible purchase or booking.

**Set the usage conditions**

- Configure the voucher conditions to match the intended use, for example the value and whether the code can only be used once.
- Use a unique code when the voucher is intended for a specific recipient.

**Current limitation**

- Players cannot currently purchase this type of gift voucher directly from the BookaBall player environment and automatically send it to someone else.
- The administrator creates and distributes these voucher codes manually.

| **Good to know** A manual discount code is the current workaround for gift vouchers. It allows you to offer a fixed value, but the purchase and distribution of the voucher are not automated for players. |
