# How to set up discounts?
## This guide explains how to create discounts and configure targeting so they apply to specific padel bookings, products, or conditions.

Navigate to the Discounts section and click “Create discount”.
You will see a form with multiple sections to configure your discount.

### **2. Basic Information**
#### Title\*
Enter a clear and recognizable name for your discount.
Example: Padel Summer Deal 20% or €10 Off Padel Courts

#### Discount type\*
Choose one of the following:
- Voucher → Players must enter a code
- Discount → Automatically applied (no code required)

### **3. Voucher setup (only for voucher type)**
#### Voucher code(s)
- Add one or multiple codes manually
- Codes must:
- Be unique
- Use capital letters, numbers, and underscores (\_)
💡 Example: PADEL20, SUMMER\_PADEL

#### Unique code mode
- Enabled → Each code can only be used once
- Disabled → Codes can be reused (depending on usage limits)

### **4. Discount value**
#### Discount\*
Select how the discount is applied (percentage or fixed amount).
#### Discount value\*
Enter the value:
- Percentage: 0–100
- Fixed amount: e.g. 10 (for €10)

### **5. Booking segmentation**
Use these fields to control where and when the discount applies.
#### Court type
Limit the discount to specific courts
(e.g. indoor padel courts only)

#### Sport type
Select Padel to ensure the discount only applies to padel bookings.

#### Playing time
Select specific durations (e.g. 60 or 90 minutes).
→ Leave empty to allow all durations.

### **6. Product-based discounts**
#### Voucher type\*
Choose whether the discount applies to:
- Bookings (padel courts)
- Products (e.g. drinks, rentals)

#### Product category
- Required if voucher type = product
- Example: Padel racket rental or drinks
---
### **7. Usage limits**
#### Number of times to use
- Total number of times the discount can be used
- Leave empty for unlimited usage
---
#### Usage cap per user
- Limit how many times one player can use the discount
---
### **8. Date settings**
#### Start date / End date
Define when the discount is valid
(e.g. during a padel tournament or promotion week)

#### Is active
- Toggle ON → Discount is active
- Toggle OFF → Saved but not usable
---
### **9. Group bookings**
#### Apply to groups
- Enable for doubles or group bookings
- Recommended for padel, as most bookings are group-based
---
### **10. Location segmentation**
#### Location
- Select specific clubs or venues
- Leave empty to apply to all locations
---
### **11. Day-based segmentation**
#### Day(s)\*
Select when the discount is valid
Examples:
- Weekday daytime (to boost off-peak usage)
- Weekends only
- Tournament days

### **12. Final step**
Click “Create discount” to save your configuration.

Best practices for padel clubs
- Use discounts to fill off-peak hours (e.g. weekday mornings)
- Create event-based promotions (tournaments, leagues)
- Offer group discounts to encourage full court bookings
- Combine sport + time + location filters for targeted campaigns

### **Example configurations**
#### (Padel) 20% off weekday padel
- Type: Voucher
- Code: PADEL20
- Sport type: Padel
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Playing time: Before 17:00
- Discount: 20%

#### €10 off padel court bookings
- Type: Discount
- No code required
- Sport type: Padel
- Discount value: €10
---
#### Tournament promotion
- Type: Voucher
- Code: TOURNAMENT10
- Sport type: Padel
- Days: Tournament weekend
- Discount: 10%

#### Padel + drinks deal
- Type: Voucher
- Voucher type: Product
- Product category: Drinks
- Discount: 15%
