# How to set different rates for specific user groups

## Use segments when you want to offer a different price, discount or booking condition to a specific group of players, such as trainers, schools or members.

**Create a segment for the user group**

- Go to the segments section in the admin panel and create a separate segment for the group you want to manage.
- Use a clear name, for example “Trainers”, “Schools” or “Members”.
- Configure the rate, discount or other conditions that should apply to this group.

**Make the segment invisible when needed**

- If the segment is only intended for a selected group of users, set the segment to invisible.
- An invisible segment is not promoted as a public option to regular players. You can use it to apply specific rates or conditions to selected users.

**Add the right users**

- Add the users who should receive the specific rate to the segment.
- Once a user is part of the segment, the connected pricing or discount is applied when the segment conditions are met.

**Example**

- You want trainers to book courts at a different rate from regular players. Create an invisible “Trainers” segment, configure the trainer rate and add the relevant trainer accounts to that segment.

| **Good to know** Use separate segments when different user groups need different rates. This keeps pricing rules easy to manage and prevents special rates from being shown as public offers. |
