How series bookings and future revenue are shown in exports
A series order can contain multiple reservations on different playing dates. bookaball provides both the order date and the reservation date so you can distinguish when the order was placed from when each booking actually takes place.
Order date and reservation date
- The order date is the date connected to the order.
- The reservation date is the date on which the court, activity or booking actually takes place.
- Both dates are available in the relevant export or data flow.
- Imagine a series with 10 bookings at €50 per booking. The total order value is €500.
- The order can have one order date, for example 1 January 2027.
- Each of the 10 reservations can have its own reservation date, for example one booking on the first day of each month.
- The reservations are split out in the payout export with their relevant reservation data.
- This allows you to use the reservation date when determining in which accounting period the revenue should be administered.
- If an order contains reservations in a later financial year, use the available order and reservation dates to identify which bookings take place in which period.
- Your own accounting process or accounting software determines how you ultimately recognise and book that revenue.

Good to know Use the reservation date to identify the actual playing date. This is especially useful for contract courts, series bookings and orders that contain bookings across multiple accounting periods. |
